Incredibly rare and sought-after Jean Paul Gaultier vest; Crafted in the 90s, and originally released as part ofa co-ordination trouser set. Rendered in Italy, this piece has a striped cotton front in rich cream and burnt orange tones and a black cotton reverse with an elasticated hem. Featuring a dramatic pointed hem, a deep V neckline, a branded JPG zip pull and a large leather appliqué in the centre. The mixed panelling creates a flattering and and interesting silhouette, while the pointed hem highlights the houses focus on unconventional details.
Produced in Jean Paul Gaultier’s golden era, this piece captures the theatrical and playful design language- while the house moved toward more bold, avante garde choices while maintaining their chic appeal.
