Vintage Marc by Marc Jacob’s standard supply satchel in a deep ox blood-red leather. This bag is constructed in a softly structured, bowling bag-type silhouette. Curved panelling is used throughout to enhance the unique shape, with the front of the bag featuring 2 overlapping panels that sit over a concealed zip, with deep gathering to give volume and depth. A singular panel wraps around the sides, while the flat base is finished with engraved metal feet. Featuring dual rolled handles, a full top zip closure, a crossbody strap, tonal topstitching and polished gold-toned chunky hardware. Finally finished with a branded central plaque, with gold embossed lettering typical of the utilitarian standard supply line.
Dating to approximately 2009, this satchel belongs to Marc by Marc Jacobs Standard Supply range, which reinterpreted utilitarian workwear through a playful and chic lens. Introduced during the height of the labels popularity the range was recognisable for its industrial style plaques, engraved hardware and functional detailing.
