A rare Class Roberto Cavalli longsleeve crafted from a smooth, lightweight viscose blend in a muted charcoal grey. Cut in a fitted, elongated silhouette with a shallow boat neck and a curved hem. The standout feature of the piece being the velvet appliqué in the centre depicting a masked figure with piercing blue eyes; sitting below is a raised, metallic spell out that adds even more depth and texture to the piece.
Dating to the early 2000’s, this piece perfectly illustrates not only the houses theatrical visual language but also the societal anxiety around surveillance at the time; using concealment and the power of the gaze to intertwine playful graphics and a more complex social resonance.
